Who doesn't love a good treasure hunt. Hello listeners, I'd like to invite you to experience a new podcast from Cavalry Audio. It's called X Marks the Spot The Legend of Forest Fen. And if you're not familiar with who Forest Fen was, let me clue you in. Forest Fen was an art dealer from Santa Fe, New Mexico, who, in the summer of two thousand ten, decided to hide a treasure chest filled with two million dollars worth of gold and jewels somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. Then he published a poem that supposedly gave exact instructions on how to find it and what happened next. Well, you'll have to listen to find out. I'm about to play you the trailer for the show. While you're listening, you can follow X Marks the Spot the Legend of Forest Fen on Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Thanks for listening, and I hope you enjoy. There's something about gold that just causes shivers to go up and down your spine. Millions in gold hidden deep in the Rocky Mountains. I don't think people look for the treasure primarily because they wanted to get rich a mysterious poem containing hidden clues that reveal the secret location. I think it appeals to something deeper in human nature. There's one person who solved it, and I'm letting you know I'm the guy to solved it. It's either going to come out from Forest, or it's going to come out from the person who actually solved the poem. I didn't know if I would ever find it exactly, but I was going to figure out that poem no matter what. Forest showed me a number of drafts of the poems, and when people learn in this, they just went nuts. My first reaction is, no faking way was this found. That is way too much of a coincidence. The only thing more confounding than the search for the treasure is the man who hit it. This is the equivalent of somebody gives you a Rubricks cube and you spend the next six months with the Rubris cube, and then the guy comes and says, oh, by the way, that was impossible. I asked for the subpoena to who the finder was. Then now we know our finder is questionable, which I suspected all along. If they had emailed each other, then they are conspiring to commit fraud against the federal government. This effort that he put in the creativity, it's actually genius from Cavalry Audio. This is X Marks the Spot The Legend of Forest Fen, the first and only podcast series that explores the treasure hunt that captivated the world. I had said to him Forest, I hope this poem is really hard, and Forest said, don't worry. It's so hard it will take them nine years to find it. With never before heard interviews from some of the main players involved, as well as new insights into the man who solved the poem and the location of the treasure chest that baffled tens of thousands for over a decade. But the discovery of the chest, it was just the beginning. I'm not the only person who have stories like this, am I. X Marks the Spot The Legend of Forest Fen is available June six wherever you get your podcasts.
