The Pentagon has repatriated Ridah Bin Saleh al Yazidi, a 59-year-old Tunisian who was one of the first detainees sent to Guantánamo Bay when it opened on January 11, 2002. Despite never being charged with a crime, Yazidi remained at the detention facility for over two decades due to failed resettlement agreements. He was cleared for transfer more than ten years ago.
