One Republic chose International Justice Mission: a global non profit that protects people in poverty from violence, slavery, and human trafficking. Nearly 18 months after the devastating January 2025 wildfires, about three in four Pacific Palisades survivors remain displaced, and many families who want to return home face financial barriers that could permanently price them out of the communities they have called home for decades. To help close that gap, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) will bring hundreds of volunteers and partners together September 23–26 for a four-day Community Build through its ReBUILD LA initiative.

The effort comes as Habitat for Humanity International marks its 50th anniversary, celebrating five decades of bringing people together to build homes, strengthen communities and expand access to affordable homeownership.

Over the course of four days, more than 500 volunteers, local residents, corporate and civic leaders, entertainment and media partners, construction professionals and community organizations will come together to restore homes, neighborhoods and hope. Projects include rebuilding and repairing affected homes, landscaping, site clearing and broader community revitalization efforts.

n 2020, my friend Eric Borstein’s life changed dramatically when he collapsed at home from massive right heart failure and was diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a rare and life-threatening disease with no cure. He’s GRATEFUL to be alive and here to share his story as we gear up for his 3rd annual Where is EB? 5k fundraiser in Santa Monica Sunday Sept. 20th.On this podcast, hear Lisa Foxx talk with Eric all about his story and why this fundraiser is so important.

He spent sixteen days in the intensive care unit at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, fighting for his life. In the aftermath of his diagnosis, Eric turned to walking as a pathway to physical and emotional healing. What began as short strolls grew into a vital, empowering part of his life. Between 2022 and 2024, Eric walked over 14,500 miles, a testament to his resilience and his commitment to managing life with PAH.

Excited to announce the Third Annual Where is EB? will be on Sunday, September 20th for a meaningful morning of community, light refreshments, and a 5K walk in support of those living with pulmonary hypertension (PH). This event will culminate in a powerful sendoff as Eric begins his incredible journey walking from Los Angeles to San Diego to raise critical funds and awareness for PH — a devastation disease that most people have never heard of. Come out and join us to show your support and help bring hope to patients and families fighting pulmonary hypertension everyday.
