Lately, I've been reflecting on the idea of going against the grain when your mind interjects and keeps you in a loop of unmotivation. Of stagnation.  While I am an advocate for rest, where I think it's important to honor the low moments, we must also keep ourselves in check when we begin talking ourselves out of doing things that are actually beneficial for us in the long run.

In this episode, I talk about the ways I mitigate the wrath of unmotivation:

  • Starting small - DAY ONE, NOT ONE DAY.
  • Remembering the past and how we felt when we got off our butts.
  • What are your goals?
  • Psyching yourself up with dance and music.
  • How to approach a reward system.
  • Having an accountability buddy.
