Dr. Brittany Johnson is a Senior Research Fellow at the Caring Futures Institute and a Hospital Research Foundation Group Early-Mid Career Research Fellow. She earned her PhD in Public Health from Flinders University, focusing on interventions to support parents in reducing unhealthy food provision to young children during the preschool-to-school transition.
Brittany’s research aims to improve children’s and families’ health behaviours, emphasising reducing unhealthy food intake and enhancing diet quality. She leads the deconstructing interventions component of the TOPCHILD Collaboration, an international project transforming early childhood obesity prevention. An Accredited Practising Dietitian, Brittany has expertise in behaviour change, school-provided meals, and creating supportive environments for healthier choices.
