Analysts predict that the ANC's stance regarding corruption accused members may not bode well for the party in future. This comes after former Sports, Arts and Culture Minister, Zizi Kodwa, was sworn in as a Member of Parliament for the ANC on Tuesday (25 June). This is despite corruption allegations levelled against Kodwa and his appearance in court earlier this month. However, at its special NEC meeting in March, the ANC decided to allow public representatives who have stepped aside to attend sittings of the legislative bodies and committees. Kodwa subsequently resigned from his ministerial post and as a member of the ANC's National Executive Committee.
