Scleroderma Research Foundation

Aired October 4, 2026: Kelly Rizzo continues to sit on the board for the Scleroderma Research Foundation following the passing of her late husband, Bob Saget, who was involved with the charity for years. They host an annual event titled - Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine - which is one of their major fundraisers for the org and will be taking place this year at the Beverly Wilshire on October 13th honoring John Stamos. There’s a ton of amazing talent performing and contributing their time to the evening.

In 1987, scleroderma patient Sharon Monsky founded the Scleroderma Research Foundation with the belief that funding medical research was the best way to give hope to those living with the disease. For those who knew Sharon, it’s no surprise that her passion, commitment, and ability to galvanize people toward a noble cause has gained continued momentum and success under the thoughtful leadership she inspired at the Scleroderma Research Foundation.

The Scleroderma Research Foundation is dedicated to educating people living with scleroderma and their caregivers as they learn about how to best manage the challenges of the disease. Through the SRF webinar series featuring leading clinicians and researchers, timely email and social media updates on research, and tools and resources to increase awareness, the SRF works to educate people about the disease.
