The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy has confirmed April’s fuel price hikes, with petrol up by R3.06 per litre and diesel rising by up to R7.51. Illuminating paraffin has also seen a record increase of R11.67 per litre. While a temporary R3 cut to the fuel levy has been introduced to ease the pressure, many South Africans are still feeling the pinch and looking for ways to cope, including the possibility of working remotely.
