Apsaras are celestial women, famed in the Puranas and epics. They are described as embodiments of beauty and charm.  The Puranas mention famous Apsaras like Urvashi, Rambha, and Menaka.  Tilottama, a reservoir of beauty, is another Apsara among them.  Her origin story is narrated by Narada Maharshi to the Pandavas in the Mahabharata.
