The old saying, “make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold,” can be applied to how we work with data. Agencies need to make the most of the legacy investments in the technology and systems that hold troves of valuable data. At the same time, those agencies are looking to (and being asked to) move to a more anticipatory style of service – seeing citizens as customers and meeting their expectations for personalized and efficient service. This session will discuss how to make data available to new AI and Machine Learning technologies to power decision making with contextual insights that are hidden in current data stores.
