When Doing More Is Just Lazy Thinking | Tiff Cook - 1063

How many times have you not been getting the results you want and your immediate response is to do MORE? More training, more cardio, more sessions, more effort... Well, what if that's actually the lazy option?

In this solo ep, I'm having a hell of a rant about why doing more isn't always the answer, particularly when it comes to strength training for women over 40.

We get into why so many of us go back to doing the things that worked in our twenties and thirties, without stopping to consider that our bodies, lives and capacity have changed. I talk about training intensity, recovery, nutrition, stress, cardio and why sometimes two bloody hard sets will do more for you than five half-arsed ones.

The bigger conversation here is about getting honest, asking better questions and figuring out what's actually missing before throwing another workout at the problem.

Because more isn't necessarily better. And if your last rep looks like your first, we might have a little problem.

Sometimes doing more is just the lazy option in fancy dress.

Do less. Do it properly.
