ഒരിടത്ത് ഒരു പല്ലിയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു വീടിന്റെ ചുമരിലായിരുന്നു അവൻ കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നത്. തൊട്ടുതാഴെ ജനലിന്റെ മൂലയിൽ ഒരു ചിലന്തി ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു.ചിലന്തി അവിടെ തന്റെ മനോഹരമായ വല നെയ്ത് ഇരപിടിക്കാനായി കാത്തിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ഇടയ്ക്ക് വലയുടെ നൂലുകൾ മുറുകെ കെട്ടിയും പൊടി തട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞും അവൻ തിരക്കിലായിരുന്നു... കഥ കേട്ടോളൂ... 
 
Once upon a time, there was a lizard. He lived on the wall of a house. Right below, in the corner of a window, lived a spider.
