കാറ്റാടിക്കാട്ടിലെ അത്തിമരത്തിന്റെ താഴത്തെ പൊത്തിലായിരുന്നു കുഞ്ഞൻ പാമ്പ് താമസിച്ചിരുന്നത്. ഉണ്ടക്കണ്ണും മിന്നുന്ന മേനിയുമൊക്കെയുള്ള അവൻ ഒരു കൊച്ചു സുന്ദരൻ തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. അത്തിമരത്തിന്റെ കെട്ടുപിണഞ്ഞ വേരുകളിൽ ഊർന്നു കളിച്ചും അരുവിയിലെ വെള്ളത്തിൽ ഒഴുകി നടന്നും കൂട്ടുകാർക്കൊപ്പം ഒളിച്ചുകളിച്ചുമെല്ലാം അവനാ കാട്ടിലങ്ങനെ വിലസി നടന്നു... കഥ കേട്ടോളൂ 

Kunjan, the little snake, lived in a hollow at the base of a fig tree in the Windy Woods. With his big, round eyes and shimmering scales, he was truly a beautiful little creature. He loved to slither and play among the fig tree's tangled roots, float in the stream's clear water, and play hide-and-seek with his friends, roaming carefree through the forest..
