In a meeting convened by former eThekwini Speaker Logie Naidoo at the 1860 Heritage Centre in Durban last week, representatives from most religious faiths agreed that such a document would go a long way to unite the country. The meeting stemmed from widespread condemnation of a religious leader criticising the South Indian tradition of Amman or porridge prayers.
