With up to 7 million South African girls lacking access to sanitary products - suffering from what’s known as period poverty, a new femtech start-up is on a mission to make a difference with an easy-to-access and discreet digital solution. The launch of FemConnect, a digital support platform and app, will see women in Sub-Saharan Africa have quick access to organic menstrual hygiene products, as well as free access to telehealth across sexual and reproductive wellness, and family planning.
