TIME has named Sabrina Walter, founder of Women For Change, to the 2026 TIME100, its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. She sits down with Irma G (who stands in for Leigh-Anne Williams) about her incredible organisation, which mobilised the Purple Movement, generating more than 2 billion impressions in 2025. Together, they brought over 1.1 million people behind a national petition, all of which contributed to the classification of gender-based violence and femicide as a National Disaster by President Cyril Ramaphosa on 20 November 2025.
