1. Authority is central to living an orderly life on every level.

3. A passion for authority begins with submitting to Jesus' lordship.

Authority - exousia (gk) - Describes delegated or assigned authority or influence.

Building a strong Christian life is like following a recipe. Every ingredient listed is essential, along with the proportioned measurements for each, and at times specific instructions regarding how and when to add the elements together in order to create the desired result. 

In a similar way, the New Testament reveals certain spiritual ingredients or disciplines that when incorporated into the lives of the early Christians, allowed the Holy Spirit to shape, strengthen, sustain and satisfy them with the supernatural life in Christ that Jesus promised. In this study, we will examine ten of these disciplines in order to discover what they are, why they are essential, and how we integrate them into our life today.
