Nice to have a carry-over special guest from our Leader of the Band Show. Jose Marie Griffiths---Dakota State with Scott Lawrence-YES the LEADER of the BAND—opening our Agri Business Show.

We talked about the Cybersecurity conference next week in Sioux Falls---and our Dakota State Leader shared why this is so important to not only agriculture but to business and all of us alike.

You hear the warnings about the Chinese----and how it can cause so much pain and damage. Knowing and leading more about Cybersecurity is important.

I invite you to listen to the Podcast of this show for Mr. Lawrence and President Griffiths explanation-----it is a good one---and I doubt if I could repeat it and you would learn anything. Thanks to them for making it plain and simple.

Jeff Kaisand---Iowa State ---Veterinarian and Farmer explained the latest threat with the HPAI---yes dairy cows and poultry flocks affected----those working with the dairy cows---and yes the birds are to be on look-out----make sure and your animals are not getting infected----a dozen or so states have been in the news—including South Dakota----and media needs to be careful as well about spreading information that hasn’t been verified and officially released. We will continue to do that---and continue talking with those that are the professionals in neighboring states—our own state---and from less than official sources. We’ll talk Wednesday with Ag Secretaries in Iowa and Minnesota about the concerns----as we are now in the 2nd half of April in 2024.

It may seem early but the Sioux Empire Fair announced their first musical act for the 2024 Fair. The date is August 8th---Flo Rida will be the talent---and we’ll continue to watch closely thanks to our guest today—Scott Wick and his team that keeps us posted.

From the South Dakota State Fair—we visited with Candi Briley---which generally runs a few weeks after the Sioux Empire Fair---she talked about some of the events that are coming----including August 9th—Bills Broncos (that may not be the name) but Candi will keep us straight as we run thru the summer to August---

Entertainment year round is the goal---and we know that the improvements to the Huron Fairgrounds get even bigger each time we hear her music and the report.

Matt Swenson gave us the morning commodities---Jaime Wood—SBA of South Dakota gave us several lines—but here’s a couple of paragraphs
