Gratitude is a practice, not just an attitude

In today’s episode, I explore a lesson that I use to call myself into account even until today. This unrealistic concept of perfection. 

Whether it is what you expect of the world, your relationships or just of yourself, we can all find ourselves seeking out this state of ‘perfection’ in our day to day. 

I found that by giving up this concept and rather connecting firmly with a state of ‘progress’, my world becomes more fluid, more flexible, more achievable and ultimately, more fulfilling.

In today’s episode, I look at a recent conversation I had with a friend of mine, and explore a lesson that was formed from the affects of the age-old saying “it’s nothing personal, it’s just business”.

In a world where work and business is becoming even more personal than ever before, I find that we too often allow for this 'cultural norm' to corrode our deepest desires for meaning and belonging in what we do. I explore how work is the same as a relationship, and how we can take a moment to self reflect on our own needs and desires, and whether we continue this reality or change it.

In today’s episode, I explore this topic further from a recent experience I had, which made me think, what even is success and how do we best measure it in our life to know that we are achieving what really matters to us?

One that found me questioning everything about who I was and how I showed up in the world, and one which for a period of time, found me in the darkest part of my life. This story, which was pivotal in the development of my character, also led me to a rather profound lesson which remains with me to this day, and which has helped others who were experiencing the same challenge. A lesson where I found that you truly are more than any one thing in your life, no matter how big or defining it may seem
