Yet 99% of emails contain critical or serious accessibility issues.
We (myself included), need to do better. Not just to ensure equal access but it’s just plain good strategy.
In recognition of Global Accessibility Awareness Day, in this episode I’m sharing the key things you need to think about when drafting your emails. In as simple terms as possible.
From the obvious Alt Txt to the not so obvious dir attributes.
From great structure that supports neurodivergent thinkers to coding that supports screen readers for the visually impaired.
We talk colour contrast, structure, calls to action, touch controls and even sign up forms.
The good news? At least half of this can be addressed with some simple template updates.
