He was famous for his skill with a large custom knife, he was fluent in French and Spanish, and in fact he became a Mexican citizen when he married the daughter of the vice governor of the province when Texas was Mexico at the time.

So as the runoff candidates are regrouping after the primary elections last week and just to reset we have a runoff for County Commissioner Precinct 2 between Incumbent Andra Wisian and J.C. Taylor - and the race for County Judge with Incumbent Shane Stolarczyk and Ricky Gleason. That election day is on May 26th and early voting will begin on May 18th…and just to make it confusing, the general election for City Council scheduled for May 2nd was cancelled because incumbents Ty Wolosin in District 1 and Kyle Mickelsen in District 3 are unopposed…however…the Boerne ISD School Board Trustee Election is still on and still on May 2nd with one race in the mix…Incumbent Rich Sena and new challenger Michael Ethridge.
So tomorrow at the Patrick Heath Public library The Boerne Civic Roundtable invites you to attend their next civic forum featuring those two candidates. Doors open at 6pm and the event begins at 6:30.
The forum is part of the Roundtable’s ongoing effort to promote informed civic engagement and respectful community dialogue and led by Ron Cisneros and Dale Adams who are the hosts of Cease Fire as heard here on Boerne Radio every Saturday morning at 10:30.
