 A tree fell into a powerline on Frey Street on Tuesday, requiring Boerne Utilities to show up like pit pros, temporarily turn off the power to safely remove it. Crews had the tree removed and the power restored in just 30 minutes. 

 For the first time ever, the City of Comfort utilized two outdoor flood sirens to warn people of incoming flash floods, ultimately saving numerous lives. The New York Post reported that everyone in the community, which is just over 2200 people, were able to evacuate from near the Guadalupe on that fateful morning. The sirens were upgraded just last year when Assistant Fire Chief Daniel Morales and other residents came together to raise money for the outdoor flood sirens.

 The City of Fair Oaks will be conducting their Fog Seal Street maintenance today and tomorrow on Wembley Road. Today they will be working on the even-numbered addresses, and tomorrow will be the odd numbered addresses. To minimize disruption, please avoid parking in the project area and don’t drive on freshly treated surfaces until fully cured, and if needed, park on the opposite shoulder or nearby side street shoulders.
