My guest this week is someone many Australians have grown up watching &mdash; perhaps on Neighbours, maybe on Dancing With The Stars, perhaps even Strike Back.&nbsp;Now Daniel MacPherson has taken on one of the most physically and emotionally demanding roles of his career for the film Beast.
In this conversation, we go far beyond the world of film and television, delving into identity, fatherhood, mental health, discipline, addiction, physical resilience, reinventing yourself in your 40s, and what it's really like to work with Russell Crowe.
Daniel opens up about the making of his new film Beast, the brutal physical preparation behind it, and why the story connected so deeply with him on a personal level. We also get into the realities of chasing purpose after success, the pressure many men carry silently, and the role movement, breathwork, training, and community can play in staying mentally strong.
It's an honest, thoughtful, and surprisingly vulnerable chat with a guy who&rsquo;s spent years pushing himself physically and creatively, and who&rsquo;s now doing some of the best work of his life.
