The Wellington Phoenix begin a new chapter this weekend under interim coach Chris Greenacre.

Their match against Sydney FC is the first since Giancarlo Italiano's sudden resignation in the wake of the 5-nil derby defeat to Auckland FC last weekend.

A new model of broadcasting grassroots sports has been launched by a Wellington company. 

Mauri Productions have launched their new network via YouTube —Kiwi Sports Network— where they want to support grassroots sport and bring high quality broadcasting of it to viewers for free, not stuck behind paywalls.

The White Ferns won Friday's third Twenty20 international against South Africa by six wickets at Eden Park. 

A close finish looked to be brewing as the White Ferns chased South Africa's 149 for seven, with the hosts sitting on 68 for four at the halfway mark of 10 overs. 

But an unbeaten 84-run partnership between Sophie Devine and Maddy Green got the hosts home with eight balls to spare. 

The series now heads to Wellington on Sunday, and Adam Cooper spoke with opener Georgia Plimmer to preview the match.
