A new model of broadcasting grassroots sports has been launched by a Wellington company. 

Mauri Productions have launched their new network via YouTube —Kiwi Sports Network— where they want to support grassroots sport and bring high quality broadcasting of it to viewers for free, not stuck behind paywalls. 

To find out more, Adam Cooper spoke to head of production Cam Rowe.

The White Ferns won Friday's third Twenty20 international against South Africa by six wickets at Eden Park. 

A close finish looked to be brewing as the White Ferns chased South Africa's 149 for seven, with the hosts sitting on 68 for four at the halfway mark of 10 overs. 

But an unbeaten 84-run partnership between Sophie Devine and Maddy Green got the hosts home with eight balls to spare. 

The series now heads to Wellington on Sunday, and Adam Cooper spoke with opener Georgia Plimmer to preview the match.

The visitors ran in eight tries to one and led 19-7 at halftime. 

Assistant coach Bryn Evans spoke to Adam Cooper on the match and reacted to the news that 'Canes assistant coach Jason Holland is moving to the Blues next year.

A former Black Cap is appealing for help to afford costly international treatment in a bid to save his life after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Luke Woodcock, who played seven times for New Zealand and is Wellington College Cricket Club’s director of cricket, was diagnosed with the life-changing illness at the start of the year.

He underwent neurosurgery in February but still needs chemotherapy and radiotherapy because not all of the tumour was removed.

Woodcock joined Matt Buck on Wellington's All Sport Breakfast.
