It's time now for The Discourse here on Rise and Shine, and this morning we turn our attention to language-responsive education and what it means for improving literacy and learning across Africa's multilingual classrooms. The British Council has released new research exploring how education systems can better respond to diverse language contexts and support better learning outcomes. To discuss the findings and the role of teacher professional development, Peter Ndoro spoke to Vanessa Komiliades, Global Head of Professional Development for English and School Education at the British Council.
