Mama Mia acknowledges the traditional owners of land and waters that this podcast is recorded.

On Makeup is my therapy in love.

I'm obsessed and I don't even feel.

Guilty of body. Hello and welcome to you Beauty the Daily Podcast for Your Face.

I'm Aaron Dougherty and I'm am Vernon, and you are listening to our show Tried and Tested, where we put new products, treatments and hacks to the test so you don't have to unless they're really good.

When you're spending unnecessary money on shit that doesn't work.

No, we don't. Okay, if you're watching on YouTube, which I encourage you to, we'll put a link in our showness to our YouTube channel. I currently look like Edward Cullen. I am listening because I got too excited and when I found out what Aaron was doing for today's episode, I took that product and put it all over my face.

Put it all over her face.

She's wearing makeup, she's got meetings throughout the day, but she had to get it on her face. I am talking about a collagen wrapping mask today.

That's what it did. Feels good if he's nail for me.

So I'm going to tell you all about that after and what have you got today?

I am trying a viral miscaa that you can get from the chemist that's meant to make you look like you have false eyelashes on or like you've just got on the lash lift.

Testing testing one to three, did it work? Okay?

I feel myself doing this because I didn't want people to think I was a liar. If you're watching on YouTube, you can see me put mascara on. As I've said in the past, I'm not a big miscara girl, Like I'm quite blessed with long eyelashes. But when I saw a video of this, I knew I had to try it. So I first saw this on TikTok on Jeffrey Star's TikTok channel. Oh my god. Absolutely Like anything that Jeffree Star tries, I'm like, I have to try.

But sometimes with Miss Scar it can be really hard to know if it's worth it or not because you've had like McKayla Njira, you know, Kelly always does her voice. Yeah, and she is that beauty content creator that absolutely got.

Slammed like it was last year.

I think she reviewed maybe Lely mascara and the results were just like completely false, and she kind of like.

Hyped it up and she got a lot of backlash for that.

So I'm always so wary about seeing stuff on YouTube or TikTok.

Well, I feel like Jeffrey Star is like quite honest, like everything he tries like he is like kind of rubbed shoulders with like Hollywood elites, and yet he will rag on their makeup if it's not good, Like he's quite honest. So I saw this video and then I saw heaps of other videos using this mascara, and it looked quite good because all the results look very similar. And they filmed themselves doing it like I have, and they only did one eye, so you could see the difference from this eye to the other eye. I am talking. I haven't even said the product.

I'm talking.

Talking about Lorrel's Panorama Miscaa. I've got it here. Actually, look at it. It's very light.

Yeah, I've seen this everywhere.

It's so good. The brush was quite surprising. I thought it was going to be a bristle brush, but it's quite like it's that synthetic. It's a silicone brush. The bristles are quite short. It's small.

Yeah, it's like a silicone brush, but it's still got the structure of a normal brush. You know, when some silicone brushes are just like one side in hate them.

This one's good. The only thing I will say is that it's really good at volumizing. So if you love volume lashes, this is for you. I have quite thick lashes anyway, so they got a bit clumpy when I first put it on, and because I'm not great at mascara, because I rarely wear it, it was a bit messy. I did, however, have like one little issue when I tried this masca on, which we will show in the video and I'll talk about it after the break.

It's really annoying that your before lash looks like my best lash. You're like starting with this basic lash.

The only thing that I don't like about this is that it is a volumizing mascara. So if you have thin lashes, this is going to be great on you. But because my lashes are quite thick, they did clump together and I don't like that look.

I like you layered it though, or with it, but you have to layer.

It to get that length. As well. So I really like long kind of spidery eyelashes, which my bottom lashes do look like full disclosure. Because I don't want to get canceled, I did curl them before I put the mascara on.

I don't want to kind of like Ni Kaylin a cancelation.

I do not want to be canceled. I'm wearing it right now, actually, and I feel like I did a better job with it today after I practiced for a bit.

Your lashes are literally touching your brow.

Yeah, they touched my brow, which I don't really like because I tickle and get stuck.

Must be hurt.

I know, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but holy crap, this actually works so well. I also did which will post on us. So but I filmed like a full day of wearing this mascar so I put it on in the morning. I didn't reapply it all in the day, went through the whole day of work, went to a pilates class ooh, and then film myself after around like eight thirty pm. It had like a few little dots, but they were all dried up but no smudging nothing. Oh that's so good, And you can't cancel me because I filmed it.

I've got it all there.

That's proof.

So would this be muscara that would make you wear mascara more often?

I think so. The other thing that I forgot to mention is that it does take a little bit of time to dry. And I'm one of those people that wants my mascar smudges. I have to get it off straight away, whereas I know you're technically meant to wait for it to dry so then you can just flick it off. But when you're doing your bottom lashes, I do touch my skin, so it does look a bit smudge under there. Because my lashes are long, they do hit under my eyebrow, so I do get some smudging over there. So the actual like putting it on the first time, did make me a bit frustrated because I was just a lot of like putting it on, wiping off, putting it on, wiping off. I feel like now that I've done it for a few days, I've got the of it. It's one of those products where you just I feel like most products you put on your face, you just have to like find your groove and get the hang of it. And this took me a few days. And how much is it right now? It's on sale at price Line for around sixteen dollars.

Okay, you can't go wrong, and you like when it's a chemist scar, you're like, otherwise it's.

Thirty three dollars, So get it now when you can.

There's so many spendy miscars out there, but I always just gravitate back towards a chemist one. It's so good, And especially because you're supposed to change them like every three months or so.

What why because they go off? They expire after like three months. Really yeah, they get you can smell it like the formula will.

So I should probably throw out like.

The ones I have for you from like twenty nineteen.

Okay, well, thank you for letting me know me the last episode of me like complaining about my sons can go in my I was probably a freaking ascar is Jesus, I don't know that. Anyway, you learn something new, you're glowing, okay, erin what do you have for me today? I mean I kind of know what you have for me today. It's on my face.

You've already tried it.

I have brought this viral collagen wrapping mask. Wait before we get into it, you know, those like get on Ready with Me videos that people shoot in the morning and they're taking off like all that shit.

On their face and you're like that, like how did you sleep the wit?

They also are like peeling off that kind of thin mask layer.

This is one of those. Yes, it always looks is that what I have on my face? Wrap? One of those masks.

You're gonna have to peel that bad boy off. We found this out after the fact. This is called the Hoiji Collagen night wrapping mask. It is where'd you get this? Bad bellece? I got this from Amazon. It was seventeen dollars. It's available at a few different places, but yeah, I got this one off Amazon. This is an overnight collagen wrapping mask. I was so excited to try this because I haven't tried any of the peel off kind of so em you recently tried the pimple patch, like the pimple patch one.

And we were like, oh, maybe not for pimples, but maybe for the full.

For the full face. So that inspired me. I needed to get my hands on a full face one.

So it's better than mine because I remember mine had like little bits in it. Do you remember that?

Yeah?

I know, I think yours was a little bit of a more of like an exfoliating situation. It had lots of different ingredients in this. I like this because it looks really hydrating.

The have used a big chunk of it.

Well, actually it's not super full, That's what I wanted to say as well, like you don't get a full bottle for some reason.

That looks to me. Yeah, I've only used a couple of nights.

And then there's obviously a little bit on your face, a little bit on my hand, a little bit on her producer's hand.

We all had to try this.

Anyway, I can't wait to tell you about this. I'm gonna tell you how it went after the break. So am I put this on the other night. You have a little spatula that comes oh cute.

I love those things.

Yes, So I popped it on my face. As per the directions, you're supposed to put it on completely dry skin. So I cleansed my face as normal, and then I put this on my dry skin using this spatula the little applicator brush. I spread it evenly over my face and then you're supposed to wait around fifteen minutes to let it dry.

Go to bed, and then when you wake up.

You're supposed to gently peel it off and your skin is supposed to be amazing.

So I applied it at night.

I've got to say, but you tried it overnight.

Yeah, well it's an overnight face mask.

But like, because I'm wearing it right now, I can't really move my face that much.

Okay, so how do you sleep? It was the weirdest sensation and I kept waking up. I'm going to be honest, So I put it on and it feels sticky straight away, so I like tied my hair back.

I went to bed. I waited for fifteen minutes, went to bed.

It's still kind of felt quite tacky, and I was like, oh, I'm not gonna be able to sleep on my pillow.

Anyway.

I fell asleep fine. Woke up during the night, though, and I think because it was like so tight around my mouth, I had to like kind of rip it off around my upper lip because it was like just annoying me.

While I was like I can't breathe.

I can't breathe. So then I ripped it a little bit around my mouth. That went back to sleep, and then when I woke up. I woke up because I was like breathing in the mask and it was going up my nose and I was like, oh, it feels so weird.

Anyway, went back to sleep again.

I ripped those two little bits off around my nostril, went back to sleep.

Was your husband, what the hell are you doing?

He leaves earlier than me, so he left to say goodbye and then was like see you, Aaron, and then went to give me a kiss.

And was like, oh no, like kind of like, what's happened? What have you done? Your face is peeling off. It's a mask.

It's fine, it's fine. Anyway. I was like, I mustn't look that crazy. But then when I properly woke up went into the bathroom, it literally looked like I had like a really really like disheveled old wrinkly it was like peeling off.

Like the influencer girl.

He would have had the shock of his life. Anyway, I gently started peeling it off. I did get it a little bit around my brows. I think, so that was a little ouchy when you peel it off.

You've really got to be gentle.

Giving yourself free wax.

Well, I know exactly. I tried to be as gentle as possible.

It did still hurt a little bit, especially like around my eyes, so i'd be just careful going too close to your eyes.

Okay, well you didn't tell me this before.

I put it on, so literally all over one side of your face.

Anyway, it's so satisfying when you peel it that you feel like an actual.

Like I've only had this on for like what five ten minutes to kill sight, right, Yeah, I do not want to be wearing this for longer, so.

Podcast it is a commitment. It's a lot honestly though.

Once it came last, my face felt so smooth, it felt so soft, it felt hydrated, My lines were plumped out. I've got a lot of like crow feet plumped out. I have to say, like the collagen element to.

It, I don't know.

Yeah, I don't think that like a collagen molecule can cure I don't think it. You know, there's a lot of science behind this, but I think whatever, I kind of like collagen molecules that they use in these products aren't the right size to be absorbed properly by your skin. So I don't know. That's a bit sketchy on the collage in front. But as for the hydrating ingredients and you know, the kind of like nourishing ingredients, my skin felt amazing and it looked.

Really really good pre makeup.

I was like, oh great, everything looks plump and like healthy and happy. And I also noticed my skin was less red as well, especially around my nose and my chin area.

Could I get away with doing it like for just say, like thirty minutes rather than overnight?

I think you could. I think you don't have to make the big commitment. I'm yet to just try it though, for like thirty minutes, Like I have to say, I wouldn't be using this every night.

I wouldn't be able to do this every night like I did. Wake up a lot.

Girl needs sleep.

Girl needs her sleep anyway.

So that's a nail, I reckon.

You're glowing, that's a nail, I reckon. But Emma, do you want to try and peel it off? You're fed?

Okay, I've got a mirror here.

I've put it on my hand as well, just to oh, do you know what? That was a mistake because.

I can't even see it, like it's like just blended into my.

You've kind of just got to kind of scrape at the edges and then.

Oh my god, my makeup, Oh your makeup.

It looks like it looks like, you know, like Austin Powers, like gold Finger.

Yeah, to it like a tiger that was before my time.

It's when you start peeling off your skin and this is what it reminds me of.

Okay, that's just gross. I wish it came out all in one.

I think you've got to put like a kind of thicker layer. I have to say, though, if you're not applying like a full layer of it on like a thicker layer, it is tricky to.

Get all of it off. And then you might also notice, like I did notice around my hairline that I still had little bits and pieces.

When you peeled it off. Did it come off in one big go?

It did well. Not the whole mask, but for the most part. Yeah. That's why I think the thicker layer is better.

Yeah, thicker layer. Okay, maybe I'll give it a go.

I feel like you've got a while to go here. She's just like shedding.

That's so much everywhere.

Anyway, it was a nail for me.

You're glowing.

It obviously depends on your skin type.

Again, like, I've got quite dry skin, so I kind of lapped up any kind of sniff of hydration here.

I'm not listening to anything you're saying, just trying.

To concentrate on trying to peel this off.

This was a nail though.

I like this. She says that she rips tiny parts off her face.

Yeah.

I can imagine, like how scared your husband would have been.

He would have honestly, He's like, I need to get out of your asap. Anyway.

Then we have it anyway, and nail and nail.

That was a quick one.

Thank you so much for listening to this episode of Tried and Tested.
