It’s We Can Wednesday and tonight we’ll be joined by security boss and crime-fighting hero, Prem Balram. A familiar face on the local streets of the KZN North Coast, well known in the media and often heard on radio news bulletins, he is the CEO of private security company, Reaction Unit South Africa. Their team is passionate about combating crime and has essentially revolutionised the security industry with their maverick-style tactics, that usually sees the bad guys end up behind bars.

The Competition Commission has released proposed amendments to its guidelines to small merger notifications, which are set to take effect after the 7th June 2021. Tonight we’ll be speaking to Misha van Niekerk, a Senior Associate in the Competition Law department. She specialises in competition law and advises a number of large corporate entities in respect of all aspects relating to competition law. She holds qualifications from the University of Stellenbosch and Wits.

Tonight on Medical Monday, we’ll be joined by Dr Cassim Hansa, a Cardiologist at the EThekwini Heart Hospital. Dr Hansa is involved with both elective and emergency admissions, managing chronic stable cardiac conditions and acute myocardial infarction. He’ll be talking to us about the warning signs and dangers of hypertension, as well as telling us how to best deal with the situation of high blood pressure.
