Join Assistant Editor Geoffrey Plant for a special series on the proposed Tarleton Ranch Eco-Village (TREV) development. This week's guest is Kent Kobakoff, a resident of Upper Las Colonias who is opposed to the development. Kent and a group of concerned neighbors have challenged the development because they believe it’s incompatible with the neighborhood and Taos county. “We’ve been criticized and our position has been trivialized by people calling us NIMBYs (Not In My Backyard),” Kent says in the interview. For Kent and his neighbors, its much more than concerns about their views being blocked.
Next week developer John Halley and land owner Mike Tarleton will talk about their hopes for TREV and why they believe the Eco-Village is an opportunity for Taos.
