Mpumalanga taxi boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni says he warned former Police Minister Bheki Cele about alleged criminal activity linked to killings in the taxi industry. He says the minister did not take action or convene a meeting. Sibanyoni says he was later shot twice in August 2022. He says he also approached former Transport Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga about violence and problems within the taxi industry.
