South Africa's consumer price inflation (CPI) is anticipated to remain unchanged at 4-point-6 percent in August from July. It fell from 5-point-1 percent in June to 4-point-6 percent year-on-year in July. Independent economist, Ntombi Mbele-Thomo, says global easing with price pressure has also been reflected in South Africa. Mbele-Thomo says these changes have been positively welcomed by the economy.
