The South African Police Service is urging all population groups to consider careers in policing. This follows concerns on social media that the latest cohort of recruits consists exclusively of African applicants. SAPS says the composition reflects the applicant pool and recruitment process. Of more than one-million applications received, the overwhelming majority were from African applicants.
