Ahead of the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, New York City has released more than 170-thousand pages of previously withheld records that could shed new light on what officials knew about the toxic air around Ground Zero days after the attack. The documents point to concerns inside government about asbestos, other contaminants and potential legal liability, even as the public was being reassured about air safety.
