The battle for the Vhavenda kingship has resumed in the Limpopo High Court, in Polokwane. Today's proceedings are focused on the role of the king in selecting candle wife, a wife married by the nation to the king to bear a successor. The throne became vacant after princess Masindi Mphephu successfully challenged her uncle Toni Mphephu-Ramabulana in the Constitutional Court. Princess Masindi Mphephu has been challenging Toni Mphephu-Ramabulana for the crown for years. For more on this we are joined on the line by SABC reporter, Michael Makungo.
