More than 300 workers say they have not received their pension payouts, after the cop0many's management allegedly used the funds for daily operations and neglected to contribute towards their pension fund scheme. It still remains unclear what the outcome was of a meeting between the ANC national leadership and its Gauteng leadership. This follows the summoning of the province's Premier and chairperson of the party, Panyaza Lesufi to Luthuli House over his utterances on the formation of the Government of National Unity. The ANC's secretary general, Fikile Mbalula had written to Lesufi asking him to explain why his utterances should not be considered a violation of the party's constitution. Police have launched an instigation into an incident in which five leaners died after allegedly consuming suspected poison food. Disgruntled community members in Naledi, Soweto have closed down foreign spaza shops following the shocking deaths of five children aged under ten years in the area. It is alleged that the children ate snacks bought from a local spaza shop over the weekend. Otlotleng Msimango, a parent to one of the deceased, elaborates

The Deputy Minister of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, Mmapaseka Letsike, has called on all stakeholders to work together to fight crime in the country. She  was delivering a message of support at the memorial service of 18 victims who were killed in Lusikisiki, in the Eastern Cape. Fifteen of the victims are women. Three suspects have been arrested in connection with other crimes and are persons of interest in the 18 murders. The suspects are expected to appear in court today.
