Forensic analyst, Captain Reta Grobler has testified in the High Court in Pretoria, that Colonel Chris Mangena earlier gave her an exhibit bullet and test bullets to be placed in a comparison microscope. Grobler is the latest witness in the trial of five accused of the 2014 murder of the former Bafana Bafana captain, Senzo Meyiwa. Meyiwa was gunned down at the parental home of his then-girlfriend, singer, Kelly Khumalo. Grobler is one of two experts who confirmed the findings of the ballistic analyst, Colonel Chris Mangena, linking one of the accused Mthobisi Mncube, to Meyiwa's murder. A 79-year-old suspect arrested in connection with the controversial Steinhoff matter is expected to appear before the Pretoria Specialised Crimes Court. According to the Hawks, the arrest emanates from an ongoing investigation into Steinhoff. His arrest follows the arrest of Stephanus Johannes Grobler who has since been released on bail and is due back in court next week Friday. Bongiwe Zwane spoke to Hawks spokesperson Colonel, Katlego Mogale.

The Khathorus Shop Owners Association and Gauteng Department of Economic Development intermediary, Family Tree Holdings, have released a joint statement rubbishing allegations leveled against the two entities by spaza shop owners in Kahlehong, east of Johannesburg.
