Gary Miracle, author of No More Bad Days: Trading The Pursuit of Perfection for the Gift of Grace, spends the show with us to share his story and of God's power in & through it. Miracle sustained an infection just after Christmas 2019 and within days found himself flatlining in the hospital. Gary survived but by April 2020 had become a quadruple amputee. Kevin Harvey, former Philadelphia 76ers team chaplain joins us today on our "Famous Friday" edition of the Tim DeMoss Show. Kevin offers memories of former 76ers star Dikembe Mutombo (who passed away at the end of September) including Mutombo's faith in action. Harvey also shares his personal faith journey and testimony and work with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in South Jersey, where he serves as Area Director.

Author Burt Kearns also appears on the show to discuss his new book, SHEMP!: The Biography of The Three Stooges’ Shemp Howard, The Face of Film Comedy (2024). The book chronicles the life of original member of the Three Stooges, Shemp Howard. In addition to rising to fame as a "Stooge," Kearns lays out lesser known aspects of Shemp's life and career, including his appearance in dramas, mysteries, Westerns, and musicals alongside the biggest stars of the Golden Age.

The exciting, scintillating conclusion of the show features Tim's daughter Tessa exhibiting Herculean strength to fight past her sickness to contribute to the show's "cherry on the sundae," Now THAT'S Punny!

We discuss his book Stories, Sports, and Songs featuring 101 short chapters full of Philadelphia history (where he was born and raised), his journalism, media & broadcasting path, a wide variety of people Schoening has met and worked with, and songs he has written along the way that often complement his ongoing story. Throughout the book and in our chat, Schoening also shares about his family, faith in the Lord, and ministry and work with the incarcerated.
