It's 3 days to go for Spar Shikhumba Marathon.The marathon is a Comrades qualifier.  The Matrathon will take place on Saturday, 04 October 2025 at Shikhumba village outside Giyani in Limpopo. Over the years they have used the money contributed through registrations to help buy sanitary towels for a local youth project and school uniform for disadvantaged learners. Residents of flood-prone Nkomazi in Mpumalanga have urged President Cyril Ramaphosa to direct his government to come up with permanent solutions to flooding in the area. The Nkomazi, Bushbuckridge, Mkhondo and Chief Albert Luthuli municipalities have been seriously affected by the recent floods. Some residents of Mjejane and Orlando - an informal settlement in Komatipoort have expressed satisfaction over President Ramaphosa's visit to their area to assess the extent of the damage caused by the floods.
