Dr. Ingrid Nielsen is one of my favourite guests because every time we connect, she inspires me to do better, think better and be better. She’s 75 going on 22, a Psychiatrist, marathon runner, weight trainer and problem-solver, who works under extreme pressure in the emergency department of the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She’s regularly called the ‘C’ word, told to ‘F’ off daily and in the middle of the mayhem (people often present to the ED in psychosis), she calmly does what’s required to help people in pain. As always, this was a fun chat and Ingrid even shared a personal story about a recent surgery she had that went horribly wrong (she’s okay now). Enjoy.
