A certain weight at the gym is heavy for you. And then over time, it’s not. Of course the weight is not heavier or lighter but you got stronger and as an experience, it is lighter. Easier. The weight, movement or task hasn’t changed, you have. Hard became easy because you’re different. This metaphor is true for so many aspects of the human experience. In boxing, Mick Hall has won a state title, two national titles and a world title. And while that's impressive, more impressive is that he's still fighting at almost 55. And maybe the most impressive thing is that he stepped into the ring for the first time at 49. I'm not suggesting any of you take up boxing, but i am highlighting the fact that we humans can still achieve, create, transform and learn at a high level, heading into and past our fifties.
