Just ask the marketing people and they'll tell you what sells. Quick fixes. Magic pills. All-things 'reward-without-work' and of course, the ever-popular 'hack'. But in our quest for painless success, who are we becoming? Is our obsession with the easy path making us more resilient or less? More capable under pressure or less? Stronger or weaker? Healthier or unhealthier? More productive or less? Happier or sadder? In simple terms, is our endeavour to avoid all-things hard, working or not? In many ways, our obsession with avoiding things that are physically, mentally and emotionally challenging is a self-created prison. A prison where we are becoming weaker, less resilient, more afraid, more anxious and less capable of dealing with the mess, mayhem and madness that life brings.

I’ve interviewed some impressive people over the last six years but nobody more impressive than this amazing lady. This episode is a re-boot of one of my all-time favourite TYP experiences. To say Dr. Sabrina Cohen-Hatton is impressive, is like saying the Universe is kind-of big. Sabrina is a Doctor of Neuropsychology, a Psychologist, renowned academic Researcher, best-selling Author and one of the most senior female Firefighters in the UK, overseeing twenty-five stations and a thousand staff. Oh yeh, she also grew up in poverty, violence and uncertainty, spent two years homeless and living on the streets (15-17), was the victim of physical, mental and emotional abuse, yet somehow found a way to not only survive, but thrive and now spends her life trying to make the world a safer and better place. If you need some inspiration, this is it.
