It sounds like something of a cliché' but Annabelle Chauncy OAM has literally built her life, her work and her not-for-profit (School for Life) on the principle of 'service above self.' For nearly all of her adult life, she has made the health, welfare and (specifically) the education of children and adults living in danger, disadvantage and poverty her mission and purpose. Annabelle is a courageous, compassionate and inspirational woman, doing amazing work and it was privilege to chat with her.

Yesterday I opened the door on the 'Understanding You' conversation off the back of my weekend Melbourne Workshop (of the same title) where I (not-surprisingly) failed to get through the totality of my intended content. This solo episode is a little workshop-y, so you might want to either (1) give it a miss or (2) get yourself a pen and paper (or something more technologically advanced!). Enjoy.

Today (as I type this, Sunday Sept. 8) I facilitated a public workshop in good old Melbs (called 'Understanding You') and we had a great time, opening the door of consciousness, curiosity, self-awareness and personal transformation. As is often the way, the super-chatty only-child didn't quite make it through everything he wanted to cover (despite talking for more than three hours!), and as a result of my inability to be verbally efficient, I informed the group that I would share some of my remaining content here at TYP Central, as a kind-of 'finishing the conversation' (for them) and an 'opening of the door' for you; my regular listeners. This instalment is a brief-ish entree to the topic and tomorrow I’ll be back with the meat and potatoes. Enjoy.
