In our frantic, fast-paced world, where instant access to everything is just a click away, the idea of delaying gratification might seem outdated and even, counterintuitive. You and I live in a culture that celebrates the now; quick wins, fast food, magic pills, quick fixes, two-minute abs and instant results. The case for instant gratification is indeed a compelling one, if you pay attention to those care only about your money, and not about your well-being (brands and business trying to sell you shit). But the truth is, when it comes to building a better life and a better version of you in the middle of that life, the practice of exercising restraint, living consciously and delaying gratification is possibly the most important  you can do.
