Life doesn't care about your feelings, goals, dreams or happiness; your mum might care (or not), but life doesn't. Some people will be bothered by your success, and some people will even want you to fail. Yes it's sh*t, but it's also true. Opportunity probably won't 'knock' and you probably won't 'fall on your feet', so you might have to create your own opportunities, lean into the discomfort and consciously and courageously build your own version of success.
