New data shows that 70% of South African learners in Grades 1 to 3 cannot read at grade level. But beyond the literacy crisis, there’s another question: as parents, do we actually know what our children
are being taught and what they should be learning at each grade? Our guest is Puleng Motsoeneng, Programme Director at Ntataise, a not-for-profit organisation that equips women from marginalised
communities with the knowledge and skills to establish and sustain Early Childhood Development (ECD) programmes.
