Have you ever been listening to a great piece of music and felt tingles on your skin? That’s a Skin Orgasm, according to science. It’s also called a Frisson a French term which means “aesthetic chills.”  It can also be triggered by poetry, an emotional video or the beauty of nature. We’re not saying we can get you there … but we’re eager to give it a try!

Welcome back to another episode of The Space, a mindfulness podcast for Everyone. I'm Casey Donovan. With the words of our writer Amy molloy, We're here to give you a skin orgasm. Baby. Have you ever been listening to a great piece of music and felt tangles all over your skin? That's a skin orgasm, according to science. It's also called a freesome, a French term which means esthetic chills. It can also be triggered by poetry, an emotional video, or the beauty of nature. We're not saying we can get you there, but we're eager to give it a try. Wherever you are, Pause and take a few moments to close your eyes. Place one hand on your belly and one hand on your heart. Focus on any tension in your face. Release the muscles in your forehead, release your jaw, press your tongue onto the roof of your mouth, and then release it. Imagine your body is expansive and spacious. Focus on the skin on your arms in your mind. How does it look? How does it feel if your arms are bare? Can you feel the air if you're wearing clothes, feel the texture of the fabric. Focus on the skin on your legs in your mind? How does it look? How does it feel if your legs are bare? Can you feel the air if you're wearing clothes, feel the texture on your skin. Imagine the vibrations of the music moving through your body. See them as a color, as a shape, as a texture. Do they change color as they move through your body? Do they change shape? How do they flow? Imagine the music vibrating around your body. Does it jump over your body or does it glide around it? How does it look in your mind? Imagine the music vibrating over your face. How does it feel as it flows over your eyes, your nose, your mouth, your cheeks. Does it change your face? Does your face change the waves? See your body as you're looking at yourself across the room. See yourself surrendered by the music, lifted and protected, inspired and alive. Stay here for a few moments, Start to wiggle your fingers and your toes. When you're ready, open your eyes. What's it good for you? Spacer
