Itumeleng "Tumi" Modibedi, born in Kroonstad in the
Free State is the founder and CEO of I Stutter
Foundation.

Tumi recalls that his stuttering started showing up
heavily when he got to high school in 1996.

Even though he passed all his subjects, Tumi failed
grade 8 because his English teacher felt he was not
ready to go to the next grade because he could not
participate in class.

His dream was to become a Lawyer and he got an
opportunity to study law but he later dropped out
due to students bullying him.
