Today, the 7 th of September is the first Monday of Heritage Month, so,
starting on this day, and for the next few Mondays, our How-To Series will be a Heritage Month edition, dedicated to learning as much as we can about being South African. We begin with a lesson in beading, today a look into how traditions are created by those who exist at that time and how we can
create our own traditions using traditional beading methods to weave affirmations into a keychain. Our instructor for this workshop is Andria Cindi, a sustainable visual artist with a background in fashion. Her work is at the intersection of traditional crafts, spirituality and slow fashion design. She
chats to us
