Chef Unaty Daniel is a private chef and household
manager, from King Williams Town in the Eastern
Cape.
She studied Electrical Engineering but in the second
year she got bored and dropped out.
She then decided to go to Cape Town to see what else
she could do with her life and she started working at
restaurants as a waitress, so she could support herself
and that’s when she fell in love with the culinary
industry.
She went from being a waitress to a receptionist then
function co-ordinator until the year 2010.
Chef Unaty then moved to Johannesburg from Cape
Town and continued working in the hospitality
industry.
Because of her love for cooking, her husband and
friend suggested that she should take up cooking as a
career since she always hosted people in her house.
In 2014 she studied Hotel And
Business Management at Boston College and then
furthered her studies in 2016, when she obtained
her diploma in Food Preparation And Cooking from
Capsicum culinary school.
In 2015 Chef Unaty decided to open up her own
company NMDT Foods And Caterers which later
changed to Fab-lous Foods.
Chef Unaty has hosted an array of events including
women empowerment events, cooking classes,
participated in food markets and cookouts.
She has innovated Fablous Foods into a successful
company that does not only offer food and catering
but promotes an all round healthy lifestyle.
