Chef Karabo Sekobi was born in Mafikeng in the North
West and grew up in Kempton Park in Ekurhuleni.

Chef Karabo hated doing house chores, while his
siblings hated cooking, so he volunteered to cook all the
time, while his siblings did all the other chores.

Thats where he fell in love with cooking and extended
it to cooking Sunday meals with his mother.

Chef Karabo was business-minded from a young age
and even sold chilli sauce in his community, when he
was in grade 6.

After high school he took a gap year and got a job as a waiter.

Due to his passion for food and cooking, his manager
promoted him to work in the kitchen and that's when
he knew that he belonged in the culinary world.

He then studied at Capsium Culinary Studios, where he
obtained a Diploma in Cuisine &Culinary Management.

Chef Karabo then went on to work at a number of top
establishments and hes now a private chef, with his
own catering company, First Class Catering.
